Yocto Capitals — Legal

Refund Policy

Last updated June 24, 2026

This policy explains when and how funds can be returned to you on Yocto Capitals. Because deposits become invested capital rather than payment for a good or service, most returns of money happen through the withdrawal flow. It is a template and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.

1. Deposits & invested capital

A deposit is not a purchase; once credited, it becomes capital that may be put to work and is subject to investment risk. As such, deposited funds are not “refundable” in the conventional sense — their value can rise or fall, and you may get back less than you put in. The way to take money out is to request a withdrawal.

2. Withdrawals are how you get funds back

You can request a withdrawal of your available balance at any time. Withdrawals are subject to verification status, per-tier limits, cool-down windows and review — including two-person approval for larger amounts. Requesting a withdrawal places a hold on the funds; on payout the debit settles atomically, and if a request is rejected the hold is released back to your available balance.

3. Failed or erroneous transactions

Every financial operation carries an idempotency key, so a double-submitted deposit or withdrawal cannot double-charge you. If a transaction is recorded in error, we correct it with a new, offsetting ledger entry rather than by editing history, so the audit trail stays intact and the correction is fully traceable.

4. Cancelling a pending request

A deposit or withdrawal that is still pending may be cancellable before it settles. Once a transaction has settled on the ledger it cannot be reversed by cancellation; any adjustment is made through an offsetting entry as described above.

5. Fees

Where network, processing or service fees apply to a deposit or withdrawal, they are disclosed before you confirm. Fees already incurred by a completed transaction are generally non-refundable.

6. Chargebacks

Because deposits fund an investment account rather than buy a product, initiating a payment chargeback against a credited deposit is not an appropriate dispute channel and may lead to suspension of the account. If you believe a transaction is wrong, contact us first so we can investigate and, where warranted, post a correcting entry.

7. How to request a correction

Signed-in clients can raise an issue from the in-app Support page, which can see your verification and transaction status. You can also reach us through the channels on our contact page. We aim to acknowledge requests within one business day.
